Grain Yield and Total Protein Content of Organically Grown Oats–Vetch Mixtures Depending on Soil Type and Oats’ Cultivar

The yield and quality of crop mixtures depend on natural agrotechnical factors their relationships. This research aimed to analyze the grain yield, its components total protein content organically grown oat–vetch mixture two different soils depending oat cultivar. three-year field experiment with rotations was carried out. set up in southern Poland soils: Stagnic Luvisol (S.L.) Haplic Cambisol (H.C.). One four cultivars (‘Celer’, ‘Furman’, ‘Grajcar’ ‘Kasztan’) common vetch cv. ‘Hanka’. results showed that affected mainly by weather conditions. During dry season, share 46% lower than season regular rainfall. seeds mixture’s ca. 21% higher when were S.L. H.C. soil. selection oats’ cultivar for significantly thousand seed mass seeds, 46.2–50.4 g 270–280 kg?1, respectively. Kasztan yielded best this seemed be most appropriate organic conditions; however, years high variability rainfall distribution usefulness less.
